The Full Story
Think of a snowflake; That’s what Qanuk means in Inuit. We intentionally built our gorgeous, ski-in, ski-out property in Fernie near the Deer Chair ski lift so our guests have immediate access to all the adventures the Elk Valley has to offer!
Built in 2020, The Qanuk has been awarded “Super Host Status” by Airbnb, meaning it is one of the best vacation rentals in Fernie. The ski-in, ski-out function was only part of our vision, which was to create a property that could provide a large group of guests with the amenities they have at home and then some, right in the heart of the Rockies. Our modern mountain palace offers indoor and outdoor comfort and entertainment for all ages. Guests can use it as a base camp for winter skiing, spring and summer hiking and biking, and autumn fly fishing. You won’t find more convenient or luxurious accommodations in Fernie!

The Concept
Family or friends can indulge themselves in the warmth of a 6-person hot tub, challenge one another in a ping pong tournament or vie for dominance at the pool table. Just ten minutes up the road in the cozy town of Fernie, you can swing your drivers and putters for 18 holes at the golf club.

We built The Qanuk with a unique and accommodating layout: two levels of similar design, and easy access to a walkout basement and a patio with a grill.
